Store Manager in Training – CVS Health
Start your path to becoming a CVS Store Manager through our 16‑week SMIT program that blends virtual training with hands‑on store coaching.
About the ProgramThe SMIT program is designed to prepare leaders for a Store Manager role. You will work with a District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach to build the skills needed for store leadership.
Skills Needed- Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead the team.
- Customer care orientation and ability to provide high levels of service.
- Proficiency in executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Knowledge of inventory and asset management to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion.
- Support the store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.”
- Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market you work in.
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market.
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor preferred.
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Pay Range: $18.50 – $28.67 per hour (based on experience, education, geography and other factors).
