OVERVIEW
The Visual Lead is responsible for maximizing store sales and profitability through visual merchandising. The role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to plan, delegate, and provide feedback to the team to achieve optimal results, supporting overall store operations.
Visual Leader- Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra‑day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising, ensuring product recovery, restocks, destocks, and visual changes align with directives and partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Plan visual floor changes with the management team through payroll management, adapting zones and visual support to business needs.
- Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Use reporting tools to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, making changes as necessary.
- Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
- Use metrics to support business‑driving strategies.
- Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests on the retail floor.
- Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
- Partner with management to coach, guide, and develop Associates; responsible for recruitment and talent development.
- Use company performance tools to evaluate operations associates and provide feedback to drive growth.
- Collaborate with Operations Lead for cross‑functional training and with Sales & Service Lead for effective business execution.
- Execute company‑level operations directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.
- Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
- 2+ years of client‑centric sales experience.
- Proven leadership with excellent decision‑making.
- Values and provides feedback.
- High energy, upbeat, enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun into work.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven individually and as a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Aligns with and embodies ALO’s guiding principles.
- Job Level: Associate.
The Visual Lead is a full‑time position (32–40 hours per week). Employees must have open availability, work variable shifts including peak days, weekends, and the company’s blackout period (week of Thanksgiving through the first week of January).

The company’s base pay for this role ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour in West Hartford, CT. Leads are also eligible to participate in the monthly store incentive bonus program, potentially raising total compensation.
