** position summary:this position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all upholstered materials, furniture and finishes.primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• repairs and maintains all upholstered materials, furniture and finishessecondary duties and responsibilities:
• responsible for all departmental logs, record keeping and labor recording pertinent to their day-to-day job duties  
• assists other trades on tasks, as needed  
• maintains a clean and safe work environment minimum education and qualifications:
• high school diploma or equivalent   
• four years of upholstery, repair and replacement experience  
• in lieu of previous work experience, two years of education in this field may be substitutedcompetencies:  incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
• good written and verbal communication skills  
• knowledge of the property layout including  pits, sections and zonestraining requirements:
• mandated safety classes  
• proper use of tools and equipment required to complete job dutiesphysical demands and work environment:
• must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold  
• must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
