We are seeking an experienced IBM i (AS/400) professional with strong Insurance domain expertise to support enterprise applications and business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM i (AS/400), RPG/RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2 for i, along with a strong understanding of insurance business processes and policy administration systems.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams to analyze requirements, assess application impacts, prepare technical specifications, resolve production issues, and support application modernization initiatives.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and development tasks.
• Support and enhance enterprise applications running on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
• Perform requirements analysis, impact assessments, functional specification preparation, and defect triage.
• Develop, maintain, and support applications using RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2 for i.
• Support batch processing, production issues, application troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and production support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, release activities, and application support.
• Understand and support insurance business processes, including policy administration and related systems.

• 10+ years of experience working with IBM i (AS/400) applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • IBM i (AS/400)
  • RPG / RPGLE
  • CLLE
  • DB2 for i
  • Batch processing
  • Enterprise application development and production support
• Strong experience in:

• Experience with RPG refactoring, API enablement, and code standardization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering tools for:
