- Under the supervision of the Directors of Risk Management, drives school vehicle(s) for the purpose of transporting students.
- Check and prepare vehicle for trip readiness (phones, credit cards, etc.).
- Safely drive students to and from home to school.
- Complete end of trip report.
- Participate in training as required by school.
- Communicate with students, staff, and parents as appropriate.
- Vehicle maintenance such as cleaning, transporting to service centers and/or state inspections.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CDL-C Commercial License with “V” or “S” Endorsement for Student Transportation Vehicle;
Air Brake endorsement required. - Current Medical Card.
- Ability to load and unload luggage. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Excellent driving record.
- Flexible hours Monday – Friday;
Flexibility to work weekends required. - In addition, nights and weekends to fit the transportation needs of the school including evening field trips, sports away games, quarterly tournaments, out-of-state driving that occasionally requires overnight stay, unscheduled or last minute appointments etc.
- Sign Language Skills preferred but not mandatory.
- Group health insurance and other fringe benefits are available.
- $1000 sign on bonus after one year of service for newly hired employees, not applicable for re-hires.
