The OpportunityThis role will be responsible for developing and executing complex procurement strategies to provide business-building innovation, assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive total cost of ownership improvements and support Glanbia’s business objectives.
Essential Functions- Develop and deploy category strategies aligned with business needs.
- Lead sourcing events, negotiations, and end-to-end supplier selection.
- Build cost models, perform make vs. buy analysis, and identify savings.
- Provide market insights and influence stakeholders on sourcing decisions.
- Report progress, KPIs, and value delivery to leadership.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
- Identify new suppliers and drive innovation, cost, quality, and service improvements.
- Lead supplier reviews, scorecards, and compliance.
- Serve as Supplier Relationship Owner for multiple key suppliers.
- Support contract implementation and compliance.
- Track savings, payment terms, and cost performance.
- Maintain procurement documents, tools, and templates.
- Own and improve a regional or global procurement work process.
- Train stakeholders and ensure processes evolve with business needs.
- Lead a team of 2–4 sourcing professionals.
- Drive talent development, resource allocation, and team effectiveness.
- Promote Glanbia values and support organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field); MBA or CPM preferred.
- 5+ years procurement experience; 3+ years project management.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytics, and stakeholder influence skills.
- Skilled in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel/PowerPoint preferred.
