Position Overview
The Career Advisor will lead the development of career programming and conduct activities including workshops, resume/cover letter services, mock interviews, and internship/job search training. The role involves collaborating with various campus departments to create tailored training programs, providing individual and group career guidance, and supporting campus events such as career fairs and alumni engagement.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, or related field, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in student counseling, coaching, or advising, preferably in a college setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience advising students and alumni on resumes, job searches, internships, interviews, and graduate school preparation.
- Knowledge of career planning theories, assessment tools (e.g., FOCUS, Holland Codes, MBTI), and coaching techniques.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff on academic and career planning programs.
- Understanding of issues affecting first-generation students, international students, mid-career changers, and alumni.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work under interruptions.
- Proficiency with Handshake, MS Office, online research, and other career development technologies.
