Process Engineer, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Chemical Engineering
This is the classic process engineer seat done right: real ownership of live production processes at an established East Coast specialty chemicals site, at the exact moment the site is expanding and new products are moving from R&D into full-scale manufacturing. You will split your time between keeping today's processes safe, stable, and efficient, and scaling tomorrow's products into production, with Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and R&D all at the same table.
- Process engineers who like the plant floor as much as the data
- Analytical minds who turn process data into yield, throughput, and cost wins
- Structured problem solvers (root cause analysis, failure analysis, corrective action) who close the loop
- Engineers who want new-product scale-up experience on their resume
- If you are looking for a lab-only or pure R&D role, this is not it: this is live production.
- Day-to-day technical support for production: safe, stable, efficient operations
- Process data analysis and key metric tracking: yield, throughput, quality, reliability, cost
- Root cause on process upsets and quality deviations, with corrective actions through closure
- Continuous improvement: optimization, waste reduction, energy efficiency
- New product introduction with R&D and Quality: scale and commercialize new formulations
- Process changes under structured change management, plus capital project support (upgrades, expansions, debottlenecking)
- Process documentation: operating procedures, process flow diagrams, work instructions, technical reports
- A real engineering foundation in chemical manufacturing: process optimization, mass balances, process control
- Hands-on production support experience in a plant environment (not lab-only)
- A demonstrated root cause and corrective action practice
- Bonus:
Lean or Six Sigma, process safety exposure (risk assessments, management of change, hazard analysis), ERP and process control systems - Competitive base salary plus performance bonus (full details shared early in the process)
- Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO and holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement
- A site in growth mode: expansion projects and new products mean visible wins and room to move up
