Our client is a global, multi-billion-dollar investment platform with an exceptional reputation, strong performance, and notably low attrition. The firm invests across private credit and other alternative strategies, managing a sophisticated portfolio of private and complex investments.

They are looking to hire a Valuations Manager to take meaningful ownership across the valuation of the firm's private credit portfolio. This is a highly visible role sitting close to the investment business, with regular interaction across deal teams, senior finance leadership, and other key stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for assessing the value of complex and illiquid investments throughout their lifecycle, combining fundamental credit analysis, financial modelling, market data, and transaction-specific considerations to develop and support valuation conclusions. Rather than simply reviewing third-party marks, you'll be expected to understand the underlying businesses and investments and provide an independent perspective on value.

As the private credit platform continues to grow, you'll also have the opportunity to enhance valuation frameworks, improve reporting and analytics, and help shape processes that can scale alongside the portfolio.

• Own valuations across a portfolio of private credit and other illiquid investments, developing and supporting independent valuation conclusions
• Build and review financial models incorporating company performance, capital structures, comparable transactions, market data, and credit-specific considerations
• Partner closely with investment and asset management teams to understand portfolio company performance, new developments, and their impact on value
• Assess valuation methodologies and assumptions across complex investments and provide clear support for valuation conclusions
• Support quarterly valuation processes and communicate key movements and judgment areas to senior stakeholders
• Help enhance valuation processes, analytics, controls, and reporting as the private credit platform continues to scale

• 5-8 years of experience across private credit valuation, private equity valuation, transaction advisory, valuation consulting, or a related investment-focused role
• Strong understanding of private credit instruments and the valuation of illiquid investments
• Excellent financial modelling and fundamental credit analysis skills
• Experience applying valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow, comparable company/transaction analysis, and yield-based approaches
• Strong communicator who can work effectively with investment professionals and senior stakeholders
