Job Description
The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring the right quantities of products are available at the right time to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maintaining operational efficiency. This role collaborates closely with production, procurement, customer service, and demand planning to drive end-to-end supply chain performance. The position also supports global inventory targets and on‑time delivery service levels, requiring strong analytical and communication skills with regular interaction with leadership.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute 18–24 month rolling global supply and inventory plans aligned with demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory targets.
- Present supply and inventory impacts in monthly SIOP/S&OP meetings to manufacturing, finance, and leadership.
- Monitor production output and adjust plans based on delays, constraints, or shifting priorities.
- Partner with demand planning to align on customer demand and adjust supply strategies.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock to avoid shortages or excess.
- Monitor inventory turnover and aging, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Align production schedules with shop floor priorities, staffing, and shift plans.
- Communicate schedule changes and resolve constraints with operations teams.
- Address capacity, material, and sequencing challenges to maintain service levels.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on supply chain performance and risks.
- Act as a liaison across regional supply chain teams to ensure alignment.
- Proficiency in supply chain, inventory management, and supply chain management.
- Experience in logistics, procurement, and schedule planning.
- Data entry skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and production planning.
- Ability to forecast and manage production.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, or procurement within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP or JDE preferred);
Power BI is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a cross‑functional environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Haven, CT.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
