The Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Harvest Technician to support post-cultivation operations within their cultivation facility. This role is responsible for preparing and processing harvested cannabis for flower sales and extraction purposes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and passionate about working hands‑on with cannabis plants throughout the harvest process.
As part of a highly regulated industry, all employees must adhere to strict safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Participate in all aspects of the cannabis harvest process, including harvesting plants, preparing flower rooms for subsequent cultivation cycles, reloading cultivation spaces, and handling plant material and cannabis waste.
- Properly dry and process harvested cannabis plants according to established procedures.
- Accurately weigh, track, and document post‑harvest materials.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, training protocols, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Support team objectives while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
- Identify and remain aware of workplace hazards.
- Complete and retain all required department‑specific training.
- Report safety incidents, concerns, and quality issues promptly and participate in corrective actions as needed.
- Comply with all company safety protocols, state regulations, PPE requirements, and compliance standards.
- Follow GMP, sanitation, biosecurity, and quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as directed by leadership.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of tools, equipment, and machinery as assigned.
- Escalate safety, quality, or compliance concerns appropriately.
- Regularly perform physical activities including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in cultivation environments with temperatures exceeding 85°F and humidity levels up to 70% for extended periods.
- Ability to work at elevated heights when necessary.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
- Daily exposure to allergens, including cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education, certifications, or relevant training preferred.
- Prior cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid government‑issued identification.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain all required state cannabis industry credentials, including successful completion of applicable background checks and regulatory reviews.
