Registered Nurse-Transition To Practice

This Registered Nurse-Transition to Practice position is located in Nursing Service at the West Haven location. The RN-TTP is a graduate nurse serving in their first professional role. The Registered Nurse-TTP is a graduate nurse who uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice in collaboration with the patient health care team in developing and providing patient-driven plan of care. The RN-TTP is responsible for collaborating with services internal and external to the VA to facilitate care to effectively meet the patients' needs.

The Registered Nurse-TTP provides patient and family health education with a focus on self-management, prevention and wellness based on patients' goals.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Various tours with Day/Evening rotation, which also includes weekends and holidays. Rotation to nights as needed, after completion of the residency program.
