Who are we looking for?
The Quality Control (QC) Chemist is responsible for performing analytical testing and inspection of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements. This role supports a range of chemical and materials‑based products, requiring flexibility across diverse testing methods and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
What will you be doing?- Perform a comprehensive range of laboratory tests, including dimensional and physical inspections; thermal, environmental, and electrical testing; chemical compositional, impurity, ionic, solution‑based, and spectroscopic analyses; and evaluation of optical, surface, viscosity, and flow properties to verify material performance and compliance.
- Execute test methods in accordance with SOPs, work instructions, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Accurately record, calculate, and report results in laboratory systems.
- Ensure all data is complete, accurate, and compliant with quality standards.
- Document results in LIMS, logbooks, and electronic systems in real time.
- Identify and escalate out‑of‑specification (OOS) or abnormal results.
- Support investigations, retesting, and root cause analysis as needed.
- Support daily laboratory workflow to meet turnaround time (TAT) expectations.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for testing.
- Follow standardized workflows to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Operate laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform routine checks, calibrations, and verifications.
- Identify equipment issues and escalate for maintenance or repair.
- Support coordination of internal or external calibration activities.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred.
- Relevant laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 1–3 years of laboratory or QC experience preferred.
- Experience with chemical, physical, and materials testing methods.
- Experience working in a regulated or quality‑driven environment (ISO, IATF, GMP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with analytical testing methods and laboratory best practices.
- Basic understanding of calibration, measurement systems, and data analysis.
- Experience with LIMS or data systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic calculations.
Competitive base salary ranging from $68,000 to $107,732, performance‑related bonus plan, and benefits packages including health, dental, vision, wellness program, paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
