Hiring for a Quality Engineer in West Haven, CT
The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of quality systems, exposure in chemistry or chemical engineering, and experience in customer-facing quality roles. This position supports a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of quality standards.
Responsibilities- Support audits, manage customer questionnaires, and maintain quality documentation.
- Conduct quality investigations, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Interact directly with customers to manage quality-related communications and handle customer concerns professionally.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and participate in customer audits and compliance activities.
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience in quality investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of chemical engineering or chemistry.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and requirements.
- Experience in supplier and customer quality management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with APQP, 5 Why's, and Fish Bone methodologies.
This role is based onsite Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with 75% of the time spent in the office and 25% on the shop floor. There is a requirement for quarterly travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally. Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
