Hiring for a Quality Engineer in West Haven, CT

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of quality systems, exposure in chemistry or chemical engineering, and experience in customer-facing quality roles. This position supports a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Support audits, manage customer questionnaires, and maintain quality documentation.

+ Conduct quality investigations, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

+ Interact directly with customers to manage quality-related communications and handle customer concerns professionally.

+ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and participate in customer audits and compliance activities.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS).

+ Experience in quality investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

+ Knowledge of chemical engineering or chemistry.

+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and requirements.

+ Experience in supplier and customer quality management.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with APQP, 5 Why's, and Fish Bone methodologies.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with 75% of the time spent in the office and 25% on the shop floor. There is a requirement for quarterly travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr.
