As an Epidemiologist / Biostatistician at CERC and Yale University, you will not just analyze data—you will actively shape the methodologies that improve healthcare outcomes for millions of Veterans. Working under the guidance of our scientific leadership team, you will turn complex datasets into actionable clinical insights.
Your core responsibilities will include:- Design and execute advanced statistical and epidemiological analyses for VA-funded and externally-sponsored research projects.
- Develop methodological frameworks that optimize research design and data analysis standards for patient-oriented investigation.
- Collaborate closely with principal investigators, research teams, and external academic partners at Yale.
- Author and contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, and presentations representing CERC research breakthroughs.
We are seeking analytical minds who possess a strong command of research design and a passion for public health.
Essential Skills &Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree
:
Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative field. - Analytical Mastery
:
Advanced proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Stata) and data processing tools. - Study Design Expertise
:
Proven capability in longitudinal data analysis, causal inference using "big data" and observational study cohorts. - Communication
:
Strong ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical clinical collaborators.
