Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Fleet Maintenance Fueler Washer at Penske, you will fuel, wash, and prepare vehicles for road use, greet customers, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Location: 38 Boston Post Rd, West Haven, CT 06516
Shift: Tues–Sat 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Main Responsibilities- Greeting customers and ensuring a positive experience during fueling and washing
- Performing vehicle readiness inspections (tires, fluids, basic maintenance)
- Maintaining clean and safe facility environments
- Assisting with minor repairs such as tire installation, replacement, rotation, and preventive maintenance
- Completing additional projects and tasks assigned by supervisor

- High school diploma or equivalent; prior work experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Team‑work orientation
- Willingness to work outdoor and in varied weather conditions
- Basic mechanical and tool skills preferred; basic computer skills
- Ability to comply with Penske policies, DOT, OSHA, and safety procedures
- Full attendance and punctuality essential
- Compliance with DOT driver qualification requirements (MVR, physical, etc.) and background screening
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Manual handling of tools and equipment daily
- Ability to work at heights with ladders and platforms
- Safe work in all weather conditions
- Visual and auditory awareness to navigate the work environment
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; pushing/pulling truck tires >100 lbs
