Medicaid specialist

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medicaid Specialist, located in West Hempstead, NY. The Medicaid Specialist will assist clients with eligibility assessments, applications, and verifications for Medicaid services. Responsibilities include managing documentation, ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and providing exceptional support to clients throughout the application process. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and staying updated on Medicaid policies and changes.

• Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations, policies, and eligibility requirements
• Experience in case management, documentation, and assessing client needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data management and records organization
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience in healthcare or social services is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field is preferred
