Experienced Steel Fabricator ​/ Lead Installer

Job Description

G&L Ironworks is a growing structural and ornamental steel company serving Long Island. We're looking for an experienced fabricator/installer who can take ownership of projects and help us build the next stage of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate structural steel, railings, stairs, and miscellaneous metals
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• Lead installations and work efficiently in the field
• Operate fabrication equipment safely
• Work directly with ownership to maintain quality and schedule
• Help train less experienced employees when needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of fabrication and installation experience
• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings
• Strong MIG welding skills (TIG is a plus)
• Experience with structural steel and ornamental metals
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable, professional, and safety conscious
