GUILD GC, Inc is a vertically integrated construction and development company with a focus on building urban-infill multifamily projects across the westside of Los Angeles. With a pipeline of projects to build, we are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to join the team in the construction of a mixed-use building located in West Hollywood. We seek a professional, self-motivated and team-oriented individual to assist us with our expanding workload.
Job Duties Project Coordination- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily project operation
- Coordinate between field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals
- Track RFI’s (Request for Information) and ensure timely responses
- Support the preparation, distribution and management of submittals and shop drawings
- Maintain/update project documentation including drawings, specs, logs and correspondence
- Record meeting minutes for owner, subcontractor and coordination meetings
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules and look-ahead plans
- Monitor daily reports and jobsite logs; verify progress and note any delays and issues
- Assist in the review of subcontractor invoices, change orders and pay applications
- Help track committed costs against project budgets
- Support procurement and purchasing activities
- Maintain logs for potential change orders (PCO’s), RFI’s and contract revisions
- Support inspections and testing per project specifications and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that materials and installations comply with contract documents
- Assist in developing punch lists and coordinating project close-out
- Help manage safety compliance documentation and reporting
- Act as liaison between project team members, architects, engineers and clients
- Attend project meetings and prepare follow-up communications
- Assist with client updates and status reports
- Use program management software (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc)
- Assist with digital plan markups, document uploads and coordination models
- Perform quantity takeoffs or support estimating teams as needed
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction industry
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management – Civil Engineering…a plus
- Experience managing Procore
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Project
- Must possess valid/active driver’s license
- Bonus: experience building in the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood
