Looking for Summer Camp Art Teacher (Los Angeles)

We're looking for an enthusiastic Clay Art Teacher to lead a five-day summer camp for 1st–3rd grade students at a private school in West Hollywood.
Camp Details- Location: West Hollywood, CA 90048
- Dates: August 10-14, 2026
- Time: 9:15am-11:45am
- Age Group: 1st–3rd Grade
- Position Type: Freelance, Temporary, In-Person
Students will explore the fundamentals of hand-building clay keepsakes using air-dry clay through fun, age-appropriate projects. We're looking for a teacher who can create a welcoming, creative environment, introduce foundational hand-building techniques, and help students build confidence while making unique clay creations they can paint, decorate, and take home.
What We're Looking For- Experience teaching hand-building clay techniques to children
- Experience leading groups of elementary-aged students
- Creative, patient, and engaging teaching style
- Reliable, punctual, and communicative
- Comfortable managing a group independently
- Ability to plan and facilitate a multi-day camp curriculum
- Develop and lead engaging daily hand-building clay art projects
- Create a structured, age-appropriate curriculum for all five camp days
- Transport and manage camp materials and supplies, including clay and project tools
- Handle setup and cleanup each day
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive camp environment
- Communicate with the Hey Curated team regarding camp plans and progress
- Serve as a friendly and professional representative of Hey Curated
