The Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission-critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment.

The Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and reliability, building and leading a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors to achieve 100% operational availability. A strong emphasis is placed on continuous improvement, staff development, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

* 5 plus years of engineering experience.

* Engineering skills sets which can be applied to a range of systems, maintenance programs and engines.

* Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.

* Customer Service Experience.

Certifications:

* BOMA Certification

Experience:

* Experience in the installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of fire safety equipment is preferred.

* One (1) year of similar work experience

* Experience performing duties to support laboratory, GMP environments, and/or mission critically preferred.
