Parts Manager – Jeep Dodge Ram of West Islip Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced, proven Parts Manager to lead the parts operations for our CJDR dealership. You’ll oversee OEM inventory, ensure efficient parts distribution for a high volume service department, and support both wholesale and retail sales with a strong focus on accuracy, profitability, and customer support.
In the coming weeks, Empire Automotive Group will unveil a brand new, state‑of‑the‑art service facility, expanding our capabilities and elevating the environment in which you and your team will operate. With more than 50 service lifts, this new center will stand as one of the largest and most advanced facilities in the Northeast.

• Maintaining a profitable and efficient parts department through the use of dealership systems and established processes.
• Utilizing the DMS to develop effective inventory stocking strategies.
• Applying principles of pricing, availability, shipping, returns, and credit policies to optimize operations.
• Preparing stock orders and completing all related documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Processing manufacturer‑approved returns in accordance with policy guidelines.
• Monitoring and controlling departmental costs to support profitability.
• Overseeing the complete parts sales cycle—from initial inquiry to final delivery.
• Navigating and interpreting the parts catalog to identify correct components and support staff inquiries.
• Communicating professionally and respectfully with both employees and customers.
• Providing timely updates on part status and availability.
• Answering incoming calls, generating price quotes, and sharing detailed product information.
• Auditing body shop estimates to ensure accuracy in parts selection and pricing alignment.
• Delivering top‑tier service to both internal departments and external customers.
• Managing inventory through consistent bin checks and efficient order fulfillment.
• Leading the parts team and collaborating closely with the service department to ensure smooth operations.
• Sourcing unavailable parts from external suppliers and placing emergency orders when required.
• Ensuring all internal service requests are properly billed on repair orders.
• Processing retail customer payments and verifying credit authorizations when necessary.

• Domestic parts experience at a manufacture dealership.
• Management experience of 3 years in a dealership parts department.
• Proficiency with dealer management systems.
• Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and geometric measurements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Consistent, reliable attendance with a strong commitment to punctuality.
• Leadership style grounded in active listening and empathy.
