The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization.
Job Details Responsibilities- Assist the professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment including carts, scopes, and video monitors used by nurses and anesthesiologists.
- Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC.
- Assist nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
- Perform surgical case picks for same‑day and following‑day cases; assist in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and caring for the post‑operative patient in the PACU.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hospital experience.
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer patients/equipment.
- BLS or CPR/AED training required.
USD $26.26 – $39.42 per hour. This range is a good‑faith estimate; actual pay will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The salary does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other compensation.
