Periop Assistant - PACU​/Recovery Room - PD

The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization.

• Assist the professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment including carts, scopes and video monitors used by Nurses and Anesthesiologists
• Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC
• Assist the nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments
• Performs surgical case picks for same day and following day cases; assists in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and care of the post-operative patient in the PACU

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous hospital experience
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer patients/equipment
• BLS or CPR/AED training required

USD $27.82 - $27.82 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
