Comfort Care Associate
Qualifications:
* HS diploma or equivalent required; completion of first or second year of nursing school preferred
* BLS (Basic Life Support Certification)
Responsibilities:
* Provides continuous observation and vigilant monitoring of patients experiencing changes in physical, cognitive, behavioral, or emotional status under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* Supports the delivery of safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care for individuals requiring enhanced observation and monitoring.
* Assists in implementing comfort measures and therapeutic interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, including support with sensory aids, environmental modifications, orientation, mobility, and toileting needs.
* Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to review and understand the patient's individualized plan of care and assigned responsibilities for each shift.
* Communicates patient-specific needs, observations, and relevant information to the Registered Nurse to support coordinated care planning and effective patient outcomes.
* Promptly reports changes in patient condition, safety concerns, unusual observations, patient complaints, or expressed needs to the Registered Nurse and/or leadership team.
* Assists with the safe transport and transfer of patients utilizing appropriate transfer techniques, assistive equipment, and proper body mechanics to promote patient and staff safety.
* Maintains a therapeutic, supportive, and safe environment that promotes patient dignity, comfort, and well-being.
Salary Range
USD $25.73 - USD $25.73 /Hr.
