Operating Room RN – Eligible

Overview

Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment if experienced. Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. • Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries including general, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, robotic, pediatrics, etc.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients through safety intervention and support.

• Passion for perioperative services
• 1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Completion of a Periop 101 course or equivalent perioperative fellowship/residency
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associate's degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure:
  New York Registered Nurse (RN) license & registration
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required, CNOR preferred

USD $54.48 - $74.72 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
