Join a Team That Keeps Utah Moving!
McNeil's Auto Center is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Lube & Inspection Technician to join our shop. You'll be a key part of keeping our customers' vehicles safe and running right — from oil changes to digital inspections to state emissions testing. If you take pride in doing things correctly the first time and want to grow your skills in a hands-on environment, we want to meet you.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Routine Maintenance:
Perform oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and tire rotations with speed and precision. - Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI):
Use a tablet to conduct thorough multi-point inspections, snap clear photos, and document findings so service advisors and customers know exactly what their vehicle needs. - Emissions Testing:
Conduct state emissions tests in full compliance with safety and regulatory standards. - Vehicle Shuttling:
Safely move vehicles between shop locations, customer drop-offs, or vendor sites. - Shop Upkeep:
Help keep bays clean, tools organized, and equipment in good working order. - Team Support:
Assist senior technicians, restock inventory, and pitch in wherever the shop needs a hand.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Emissions Certification:
Preferred. If you don't have it yet, we'll help you get certified within your first 60 days (training and support provided). - Manual Transmission:
Comfort driving a manual transmission is a plus. - Technical Aptitude:
Basic mechanical know-how and confidence using tablets or inspection software. - Work Ethic:
Strong attention to detail, the physical stamina for a hands-on shop role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods), and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Health Coverage:
Medical, dental, and vision insurance available. - Paid Time Off: PTO for vacation, sick days, and personal time.
- Employee Discounts:
Discounted parts, service, and labor on your own vehicle. - Career Growth:
Training support, including help toward your Emissions Certification and other technical certifications.
This is a role with real room to grow: we invest in training and certifications, and we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the automotive service industry, not just fill a shift.
