Part-time Earth Science Teacher for the 26/27 School Year
Mountain Heights Academy – tuition‑free, online public charter school for Utah students in grades 7‑12.
We seek a part‑time (0.5 FTE) Earth Science Teacher for the upcoming school year. Faculty meet at the West Jordan office twice a month for professional development and student activities. Coursework is delivered in weekly modules, allowing students to complete assignments at their own pace.
Responsibilities- Design, deliver, and assess Earth Science content for grades 7‑12 in an online environment.
- Support self‑paced student learning through weekly modules and interactive activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues during bi‑monthly professional development sessions.
- Use technology tools effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Valid Utah secondary teaching license with an Earth Science endorsement.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Personable demeanor and proven ability to engage students virtually.
- Experience teaching in a virtual classroom is a plus.
