Instructional Assistant Positions
Under the supervision of a school principal, department director and/or classroom teacher, the Instructional Assistant will assist students in a regular classroom who may have mild to moderate disabilities. Will assist with the physical, emotional and educational needs of students with disabilities. Must be able to lift 55 pounds. Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.
Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion. Job Description Effective July 1, 2026 Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/Hour) Salary Schedules
