Special Education Assistants
We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Special Education Assistants to join our team. Key responsibilities include instructional support and adaptation, lesson adaptation, goal tracking, behavioral and physical care, behavior management, and daily physical care. Key qualities of the ideal candidate include patience, deep empathy, resilience, calmness, and strong communication skills. Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.
Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion. Effective July 1, 2026 Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/Hour) Salary Schedules
