Orchestra Teacher
We are seeking an Orchestra Teacher to instruct beginner through intermediate students on violin, viola, string bass, and percussion. This position focuses on foundational instrument technique and music theory, including reading sheet music.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction:
Teach before-school rehearsals (45 minutes per session) covering instrument execution, posture, and note reading. - Concerts & Performances:
Plan and direct at least two annual concerts (Holiday and Spring), along with accompanying school assemblies. - Outreach & Recruiting:
Coordinate additional performances, including middle school feeder concerts, district-wide joint performances, and recruitment assemblies at partner elementary schools. - Collaboration:
Partner with district band, choir, and orchestra colleagues to plan and execute joint musical events.
