Contract Overview
The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) and Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-LAC) are seeking qualified Aircraft Mechanics II to support the Depot On‑Site Contract Augmentee Teams 5 (DOCAT5) Task Order at Hill AFB, Utah. This effort supports the 531st and 532nd Commodities Maintenance Squadrons (CMMXS) within the 309th Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG).
Position SummaryThe Aircraft Mechanic II performs maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft structures and mechanical systems of moderate to high complexity. This position requires a strong working knowledge of airframe and power plant systems, troubleshooting techniques, technical publications, and aircraft maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft structures and structural components.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft mechanical systems including flight controls, engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fuel systems, batteries, hydro stats, and mechanical components and assemblies.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Interpret and apply technical orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
- Perform aircraft sheet metal repairs, structural modifications, and component replacement activities.
- Utilize aircraft‑specific tools and test equipment to perform inspections and repairs.
- Make accurate maintenance documentation entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Support repair and overhaul operations involving landing gear, fuel tanks, pylons, screw jacks, hydraulic systems, pneudraulic systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable technical publications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with government supervisors, engineers, inspectors, and maintenance personnel.
- Lead maintenance teams during complex repair activities as assigned.
- Prioritize workload to meet production schedules and mission requirements.

- Experience performing aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, or modification.
- Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
- Experience reading technical publications, manuals, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with aircraft sheet metal and structural repair.
- Active Secret clearance required at start.

Hill AFB, Utah, USA. Salary Range: $32.89 - $37.98 per hour.
