Financial Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Platform VP Finance, the Trebor Finance Manager will partner closely with business leaders and key department leaders within the business unit and be responsible for all aspects of the unit’s finance. This role is designed for a high‑potential performer who will provide strategic financial and business leadership to the division.
Responsibilities- Act as a key business partner to line leaders and department heads.
- Direct financial processes for the business unit, including closing the books, forecasting, planning, and reporting and analysis of results.
- Ensure compliance with legally mandated external financial reporting, including Sarbanes‑Oxley reporting requirements.
- Audit operations for compliance with corporate and business unit policies and procedures.
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements and ensure accuracy of financial results.
- Prepare detailed analyses of financial statement results, including cost trends, customer profitability, product line profitability, and variance analysis.
- Analyze operating results to determine and recommend profit and/or cash‑flow improvement opportunities.
- Consolidate financial information for review with Platform/Group leadership.
- Evaluate, approve and/or recommend courses of action on capital spending and investment requests.
- Work with the Corporate Finance organization (treasury, tax, audit) to improve financial processes, implement policy changes, and execute strategies and initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of four Finance & IT professionals, responsible for talent selection, coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA.
- Minimum of six years of progressively responsible Finance & Accounting experience.
- Knowledge of IT operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Ten years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP and ability to research and apply accounting pronouncements as appropriate.
- Experience with JDE (preferred) and advanced PC/ERP/Hyperion/Onestream.
- Thorough knowledge of SOX requirements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside of the Accounting Department.
