Youth Behavioral Health Technician

Full-Time | Tooele County & Salt Lake County

Live for Life provides structured behavioral health services for adolescents with mental health challenges, including therapy, psychiatric care, and skill-building in a safe, therapeutic setting. The mission is to help youth return to their families and communities with the tools to thrive.

Role Overview

Work directly with adolescents in residential behavioral health programs to support their safety, structure, and growth. Help youth build life skills, manage behaviors, and work toward a successful future.

Key Schedule Options
  • Grave Shift
    • Friday
      - Tuesday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    • Saturday
      - Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Double Shift
    • Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
    • Work 32 hours, paid for 40 hours
    • 5 consecutive days off every week
    • Predictable, consistent full-time schedule
Locations & Programs
  • West Jordan, UT – Residential Treatment (Male Adolescents)
  • Erda, UT (Tooele County) – Residential Treatment (Male Adolescents)
    • Travel stipend for eligible candidates commuting from outside Tooele County
  • Murray, UT – Residential Support Program
What You’ll Do
  • Build positive, structured relationships with youth
  • Keep the environment safe and supervised
  • Lead recreational, skill-building, and support activities
  • Assist with daily routines (meals, hygiene, chores, schedules)
  • Monitor behaviors and document progress

    Communicate with clinical and leadership teams
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities
  • Enforce program structure and expectations
Training Provided (Paid)
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Food Handler’s Permit
  • Positive Communication System (PCS)
  • De‑escalation and behavioral support techniques
Minimum Requirements
  • 21+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass an FBI background check
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience with youth or in behavioral health
