Position: Benefits & Leave Administrator
Description

The Temporary Benefits & Leave Administrator provides short‑term support for employee benefits and leave administration while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, and vendors to support day‑to‑day benefits operations and employee leave processes.

Requirements

Benefits Administration

+ Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans

+ Assist with employee questions related to benefits eligibility, enrollment, and coverage changes

+ Process benefit enrollments and changes resulting from qualifying life events

+ Support open enrollment activities as applicable

+ Coordinate with benefits vendors and carriers to resolve issues and ensure accurate plan administration

+ Maintain accurate employee benefit records within HRIS systems

Leave Administration

+ Administer employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, state‑specific leaves, ADA accommodations, and company‑specific leave programs

+ Coordinate with third‑party leave administrators, if applicable

+ Track leave usage and ensure documentation is complete and compliant

+ Communicate with employees and managers regarding leave status, timelines, and return‑to‑work requirements

+ Ensure consistent application of leave and benefits policies

Workers' Compensation Administration

+ Administer workers' compensation claims from initial report through resolution

+ Coordinate with employees, managers, safety teams, insurance carriers, and third‑party administrators

+ Ensure timely filing of claims and required documentation

+ Track claim status, return‑to‑work restrictions, and modified duty accommodations

+ Maintain accurate workers' compensation records and support reporting needs

+ Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and claim inquiries

Compliance & Documentation

+ Ensure benefit and leave processes align with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

+ Maintain clear, accurate records and documentation

+ Support audits, reporting, and internal reviews as needed

Qualifications

+ 2-4 years of experience in HR benefits and/or leave administration

+ Working knowledge of benefits plans and leave laws (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs)

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information

+ Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits/leave vendors

+ Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

+ Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, temporary environment

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience supporting multi‑state employee populations

+ Prior experience in a temporary or contract HR role

+ Familiarity with third‑party leave or benefits administration platforms
