Payroll Specialist - Bilingual

Performs key HR support duties including payroll and HRIS administration, and provides overall HR support.

Performs key HR support duties including payroll and HRIS administration, and provides overall HR support.

• Conducts payroll administration duties in accordance with state and federal laws and company policies.
• Processes payroll-related paperwork including new hire system entry, compensation changes, separations, transfers, personnel changes, leaves of absence, etc.
• Administers employee garnishments, including setup, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Assists with special projects and reports as needed.

• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Timeliness of meeting payroll deadlines.
• Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism with confidential material.

• Two-year college degree or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years payroll experience.

• Must be able to read and write fluently in English and Spanish.

• Ability to sit for 8 hours a day.
• Ability to perform fine manipulation such as typing for 8 hours.
• Ability to lift or carry 20-40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to push or pull 20-40 pounds occasionally.

• Office setting.
