** Position Summary
** The Lead Consultant will implement tax technology solutions such as tax engines, exemption management solutions, and compliance tools. Provides innovative solutions to complex indirect tax issues using emerging technologies.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* • Responsible for all phases of the software implementation methodology including planning, requirements gathering, solution design, tax configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and cutover support  
• Project management activities such as leading status calls, creating status reports, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining project plans  
• Create and maintain project documentation  
• Offer/apply in-depth knowledge of tax technology best practices and function as a subject matter expert to clients  
• Lead tax requirements sessions with clients for input to the solution design  
• Implement an array of tax technology solutions as well as integrate these solutions with ERP, Billing, POS, and Ecommerce systems  
• Assist with troubleshooting functional and technical issues related to tax solutions  
• Explain the high-level differences among the tax engine solutions and define opportunities for improvement for existing tax technology solutions  
• Assist management with business development activities

** Education and Qualifications*
* • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field required  
• 5-7 years of experienced in a related role  
• Strong knowledge of tax application configuration procedures within ERP  
• Ability to define required data components required for non-standard integrations  
• Understanding of various freight configurations and how pricing works  
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and take initiative  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
