Responsibilities
  • Assist with design, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure and/or cloud resources needed to reliably host, run, and support applications throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Create and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Write scripts and configurations to automate software testing, deployment, and maintenance in accordance with software engineering best practices.
  • Proactively monitor build and deployment pipelines and infrastructure; apply patches, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors.
  • Automate infrastructure and/or cloud resource deployments and configurations using infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
  • Remediate findings from vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Informally mentor other staff in Dev Ops concepts and processes.
  • Work with peers and business partners to identify workflows or processes where automation can improve efficiency or reduce costs.
  • Provide application support, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify causes, determine possible resolutions, and remediate issues in existing applications.
  • Serve as Product Owner managing priorities, scope, and schedule as needed.
  • Directly support the SDE Architect by understanding architecture, design, requirements, and execution details to communicate key elements to Product Owners, Assignment Managers, Scrum Masters, and element leads.
  • Participate as a stakeholder in software engineering rigor processes to ensure SDE tasks and board submittal processes reflect desired end qualities.
  • Provide rotating 24x7 on‑call support to lead resolution of system issues and anomalies; on‑call rotation is one week out of every 8–12 weeks.
  • Be available for after‑hours, on‑call, and 24/7 coverage as required by program needs.
Required Qualifications
  • 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study; or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
  • 4 years of experience with build tools (Maven, Ant, GNU Make) and/or continuous integration environments (Jenkins, Git Lab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (Nexus, JFROG).
  • 2 years of experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency with Linux‑based software development tools.
  • 4 years of experience with Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating systems.
  • 4 years of experience with scripting languages (PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
  • 4 years of Dev Ops experience with container technologies in support of building and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • 4 years of experience with container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Open Shift).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to obtain Northrop Grumman Cost Account Management (CAM) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • IAT LevelII certification (e.g., Security+CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Availability to support after‑hours, on‑call, and 24/7 coverage as required by program needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field of study.
  • Experience as a Product Owner or other technical leadership position in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or equivalent.
  • Experience with source‑code configuration management tools (e.g., git).
  • Experience with Hashi Corp Packer and Vault.
  • Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM.
  • Previous experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value.
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner.
  • Proven ability to solve problems or conflicts within teams.
