Job Overview

The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Principal / Cybersecurity Analyst to support information systems lifecycle activities. This role is based on‑site full‑time at our Roy, Utah location.

No relocation assistance available.

Top Secret clearance required at start.

Travel required – 10% of the time.

• Conduct system audits and continuous monitoring activities covering all security controls, configurations, and operational processes to evaluate the security posture of information systems.
• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional requirements and safeguards.
• Assist in the implementation of required government policies, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in, and document process activities.
• Establish program control processes to mitigate risks and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems, including analysis, coordination, security certification testing, documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
• Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities through pre‑test preparations, participation, analysis of results, and report preparation.
• Document the results of A&A activities and technical or coordination activities, and prepare the Risk Management Framework body of evidence.

• Level 2:
  • Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience; OR
    
    • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience; OR
    
    • Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience; OR
    
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of experience.
• Level 3:
  • Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience; OR
    
    • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience; OR
    
    • Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience; OR
    
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8 years of experience.

• Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Cybersecurity (722) certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
• Must hold a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (minimum), with closed investigation completed within the last 6 years, or be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance (e.g., Assessment & Authorization under RMF).
• Knowledge of security tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&M, and SCTMs.
