Role Overview

Data Center Technician – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Location:

West Jordan, UT or Eagle Mountain, UT. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Hardware installation and configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
• Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRUs.
• Rack installation including placement, cabling, power‑up, and hand‑off of servers to provisioning teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve telco connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and replace network switch equipment.
• Communicate within a ticketing environment overseen by multiple Oracle Cloud service owners and teams.
• Document activities and update or create SOPs.
• Perform structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables.
• Manage system power supplies and cabling installation, repair, and removal within data‑center racks without disrupting critical infrastructure.
• Maintain asset inventory and update internal applications as needed.
• Complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new technologies.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for tickets assigned.

• Day Shift – 4 days per week, 10‑hour shifts (may include weekends and holidays).
• Night Shift – 4 days per week, 10‑hour shifts (may include weekends and holidays).
• On‑call shifts as required with response to critical events.

• Knowledge of server/ storage/ network hardware.
• Strong interest in learning new data‑center concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 2+ years working in an IT environment.
• Experience solving problems on servers, networking devices, and IT equipment.
• Inventory management experience – ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts.
• Experience raising issues to senior on‑site staff and management as needed.
• Knowledge of IT hardware concepts such as RAID, SAN, SCSI, Linux/Unix, GRUB.
• Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus.
• Work onsite in West Jordan, UT or Eagle Mountain, UT.

• 4‑year degree or 4+ years of experience.
• 1+ year experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber), cable testing, and cooling or electrical systems in a data‑center.

Hourly range: $35.63–$71.30 (annual salary $74,100–$148,300). Eligible for equity.
