Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Greet and assist customers in a professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner.
- Process customer orders, credits, returns, and inquiries accurately and efficiently.
- Handle will call transactions, including order verification, product pickup, and payment processing.
- Promote a positive company image through outstanding customer service and effective communication.
- Respond to customer product questions and provide appropriate product information and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure products are properly stocked within the will-call showroom.
- Ensure gondolas, wall units, and display areas are fully stocked, organized, clean, and presentable.
- Maintain a clean, professional showroom and work environment, including housekeeping of assigned areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Ensure the welcome table is clean, organized, and adequately stocked with company materials and product information.
- Utilize RF scanners, warehouse management systems, point-of-sale systems, and inventory tracking tools to support daily operations.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and product organization as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- May assist in other areas of the warehouse:
Laminate, Inventory, Will Call, UPS, Shipping, Receiving, & Salt Depts or even other locations that have will calls. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders, payments, credits, and inventory transactions.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including understanding numerical and alphabetical sequences.
- Basic mathematical skills and experience handling cash, credit card, or electronic payment transactions preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, handheld RF scanners, and warehouse inventory software.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and tools required to perform assigned job responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in Will Call, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, or a related role preferred.
- Associate degree or coursework in Business, Customer Service, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in wholesale distribution, warehouse operations, building materials, or retail sales preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, preferred, but not required.
This work requires frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday. Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally move heavier materials with assistance or material-handling equipment. Finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations.
Use of both hands is required. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
Ability to work at varying heights and access storage locations safely. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. This is a safety sensitive position.
