Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift

Position Overview:

TheMaintenance Mechanicsupports plant operations bymaintainingplant equipment of the respective business unittomeet and/or exceed the business unit’s goals andobjectivesin safety, quality, productivity,efficiency,and customer service. TheMaintenance Mechanicensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative & corrective maintenance requirements on various types of industrial equipment .

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Adhering to safety, health, and environmental ( SHE) standards and policies by taking personal responsibility to prevent injury / illness to oneself & others from exposure to hazards . Following a ll permit procedures including but not limited to lock - out / tag - out, confined space, arc flash and work at heights as required .
• U tilizing computerized maintenance management system(CMMS) to document maintenance activities including time spent, parts used,and description of work performed, abnormalitiesidentifiedandfollow up actions needed.
• Performing maint enance activities – preventative, corrective , breakdown and work orders to improve equipment performance , reliability and product quality in a timely mann er as schedule d or assigned .
• Addressing and resolving any equipment and systems faults related to the ASRS, conveyors or other equipment in the Cooler Warehouse. This task is physically demanding as employee must climb inside the ASRS up to 10 levels high wearing the required fall protection equipment.
• Using reasoning and analysis to troubleshoot equipment & parts failurestoimprove equipmentperformanceduring maintenance activities as well asbyparticipatinginfocused improvement activities as assigned.
• Using and cares for personal and company tools & equipment in a professional manner by u tilizing tools & equipment as they were designed to be used.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work site while performing maintenance activities and well as general area s assigned .
• Responding timely for maintenance assistance . Coord inates with maintenance & area owner leadershi p to prioritize work activities .
• Communicating with maintenance & area owner s timely regarding safety issues, quality issues an d work completion delays.
• O ther duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

• Mechanic mustdemonstratestrongcompetency in electrical,mechanical,pneumatic&hydraulicsandbasic computer skills.
• Demonstratestheability to use powered industrial equipment. (forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack)
• Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, electrical drawings/schematics,blueprints, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrates the ability to write routine reports, SOP’sand correspondence as well as speak effectively to employees and customers.
• Demonstratesstrongproblem-solving and reasoning skills andtheability tounderstandand execute from instructions.
• Demonstrates mathematical skills to calculate, compute, resolve, interpret, and to formulate for problem solving. Thorough understanding of mechanical procedures as related to manufacturing maintenance applications.
• Maintains astrong knowledge of machine functions, equipment safety hazards, power source, stored energy, pinch points, andpossessesexperienced welding skills.
• Understandsanddemonstrates maintenance food safetytechniquesto ensure product quality while performing maintenance activities. Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards
