POSITION SUMMARYThe Parts Runner is responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of tools, equipment, and materials between warehouses, suppliers, and work sites. This role helps minimize downtime by ensuring that essential components are available where and when they are needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Pick up and deliver parts and materials to production in each bay area in a timely manner.
- Verify parts and materials on packing lists or purchase orders.
- Knowledgeable on reading drawings and bill of materials.
- Put parts on the beam when necessary or on pallet outside the bay area.
- Communicating with supervisors and leads to understand parts requirements and priority levels.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts or combi lifts, pallets, or other equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized forklift or combi lift; ensure forklift or combi lift maintenance and inspections are up to date.
- Always follow all safety protocols.
- Assist with basic warehouse tasks, inventory tracking, and staging materials for jobs.
- Make sure that the pallet area is clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Leads.
- Intermediate to expert skills and experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift to 65 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
- Familiarity with basic metal parts and tools is a plus.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Punctuality is highly encouraged.
Must be able to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions. Must be able to work extended hours when necessary. Job may require being physically fit to work in an industrial environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery and overhead cranes.
- Use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is required.
- Interaction with team members, leads, and supervisors is frequent and necessary.
