The Role
We are hiring a Lead Cabinet Finisher
— a senior, independent finisher who takes ownership of cabinet finishing quality, consistency, and execution.
This is a foundational role. You will be relied on heavily for:
- Craftsmanship and finish quality
- Color matching and problem-solving
- Setting the standard for how finish work is done
This is not a junior or helper position.

Renew Medic specializes in cabinet disaster restoration — repairing, rebuilding, and refinishing cabinets damaged by water or fire while homeowners remain in their homes.

The Lead Cabinet Finisher must be able to independently and consistently perform the following essential functions:
Cabinet Finishing & Refinishing- Finish and refinish cabinets to professional standards (painting, staining, clear coats, glazes, toners)
- Accurately color match to existing cabinetry and finishes
- Properly prep surfaces including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Identify and correct finish defects such as runs, dry spray, sheen inconsistency, or contamination
- Ensure finished cabinets meet Renew Medic quality standards before installation or reinstallation
- Operate finishing-related shop equipment including spray systems, sanders, and prep tools
- Work with CNC-built cabinet components and understand finish requirements tied to build tolerances
- Coordinate with builders and production team to align finish approach with job requirements
- Maintain finishing tools, materials, and work areas in clean, ready condition
The Lead Cabinet Finisher is expected to be comfortable working in a modern cabinet shop environment, but this role is focused on finish quality, execution, and leadership — not production speed at the expense of quality.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized finishing area
- Follow all safety, PPE, and shop procedures
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven ability to independently finish and refinish cabinets at a professional level
- Strong experience with color matching and finish blending
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to identify and resolve finish issues without constant supervision
- Reliable attendance and strong personal accountability
- Alignment with Renew Medic’s mission, values, and principles
- Experience in restoration or fast-turn environments
- Experience mentoring or leading other finishers or technicians
- Experience with spray booth environments and finish troubleshooting
Work Environment Requirements
This position involves physical labor and environmental conditions essential to cabinet finishing and refinishing work, including work in spray booth and finishing areas.
The employee must be able to:
- Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and cabinet components up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
