Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Adolescent Residential Treatment | West Jordan, UT
Copper Hills Youth Center is a Joint Commission‑accredited adolescent residential treatment facility serving boys and girls ages 12‑17. Located 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City International Airport, we provide trauma‑informed, individualized care in a structured therapeutic setting.
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide onsite, non‑emergent medical care for adolescents in our residential programs.
Position Overview- Provide low‑acuity medical care and admissions H&Ps.
- Independent practice within a structured, collaborative residential environment.
- Weekdays only (no weekends required).
- Part‑time or full‑time flexibility.
- Onsite role (no call).
- 197‑bed adolescent residential treatment center.
- Populations include mood disorders, trauma, autism spectrum, substance abuse, and chemical dependency.
- Trauma‑informed, phase‑based treatment model.
- Stable, experienced medical leadership and interdisciplinary support.
- Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries (rashes, infections, ingrown toenails, common illnesses).
- Complete medical histories and physicals for new admissions.
- Prescribe medications within scope.
- Order and review labs and X‑rays as needed.
- Identify conditions requiring outside care and coordinate referrals.
- Collaborate with clinical and residential staff.
- Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active Utah APRN license (or ability to obtain).
- 1–2 years post‑graduate clinical experience preferred (primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, or adolescent health).
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Comfort working with adolescent behavioral health populations.
- Predictable weekday schedule with no weekends and only occasional call.
- Meaningful work with the adolescent population.
