Registered Nurse (PRN)
Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT, is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years old. The role supports a therapeutic environment for students.
Responsibilities- Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for students.
- Initial and ongoing assessment of physical health of students and educate students regarding the connection between physical and mental health.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Nursing Department philosophy and maintain Standards of Nursing Practice and Standards of Care for all patients.
- PRN scheduling: PRN Days/Swings = Days (5a‑5p) & Swings (6p‑10p) OR PRN Swings/Graves = Swings (6p‑10p) & Graves (5p‑5a).
- Work 2 shifts every two weeks unless there is no need; cover 2 call‑outs in a rolling calendar year and cover either Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
- Schedule flexibility (true PRN status with advance notice).
- Generous shift differential for night and weekend shifts.
- Work in a residential treatment center setting.
- Free healthy meals at work and free parking.
- Utah RN licensure or multi‑state compact license to practice in Utah.
- 2 years’ experience in behavioral health/psychiatric nursing preferred, not required.
- Must be at least 21 years old; able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen.
- Must attend mandatory new‑employee orientation and all other required training.
