Role DescriptionThe Industrial Equipment Sales Representative – Woodworking Focus is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Utah, Arizona, Idaho and Nevada. This role involves actively prospecting and engaging woodworking businesses, learning their production needs, and recommending suitable industrial machinery solutions. The representative will conduct product demonstrations, prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and follow up on leads to close sales. Daily activities include maintaining customer relationships, responding to inquiries, coordinating with service and technical teams, and ensuring timely delivery and installation of equipment.
The role also includes providing basic training on machinery use, attending industry events, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
- Strong customer‑facing skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Communication, to build trust and maintain long‑term client relationships.
- Clear and professional Communication skills to explain technical concepts, present solutions, and prepare proposals.
- Proven Sales experience, preferably in industrial equipment or manufacturing environments, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to provide Training on machinery features, basic operation, and safety guidelines to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Working knowledge or interest in woodworking processes and industrial machinery; mechanical aptitude is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with on‑site visits, shop‑floor environments, and occasional regional travel to customer locations.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software for managing leads, opportunities, and sales documentation.
- High level of integrity, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience in B2B sales; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.
- MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL
- Overnight travel up to a week at a time sometimes several times a month. But not excessive.
