Position: Landscape Laborer (Temporary)

Overview

Ray's Gardening, L.C. 5768 W. Feulner Park Circle, West Jordan, UT 84081

Landscape Laborer
:
Sod laying, planting plants and trees, mowing, trimming, raking, pruning, mulching, sprinkler system installation. Loading and unloading materials. Lifting required up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Landscape labor tasks as listed: sod laying, planting plants and trees, mowing, trimming, raking, pruning, mulching, sprinkler system installation.
  • Loading and unloading materials; lifting up to 50 lbs.
Hours, Pay and Location
  • Pay
    : $20.01/hr; $31.52 overtime.
  • Schedule
    : 8am-5pm, M-F; some overtime & weekends may be available.
  • Worksite
    :
    Salt Lake County area jobsites. Transportation provided to and from area jobsites from a central Salt Lake County area pick up location.
  • Positions
    : 21 positions available for temporary, full-time, peak load work from 04/01/2026 to 11/30/2026.
Employment Details
  • Employer will use a single workweek for computing wages due. Pay will be biweekly.
  • Assistance finding and securing lodging is not available.
  • Employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck.
  • Employer will advance against pay up to $75.00/day at the end of each work day at no interest for the first 2 weeks, if needed.
  • If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.

    The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts.
  • H-2B workers will be reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in the first workweek. Employer will provide, without charge or deposit, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job duties.
  • The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period.
  • This job is in connection with a future H-2B Foreign Labor Certification application.
