Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will perform daily building maintenance duties including plumbing leaks and stoppages, lighting repairs/replacement, minor electrical replacements, minor HVAC troubleshooting, structural component repairs, painting, furniture assembly and repair, and general duties.

• Inspects assigned buildings on a routine basis and performs maintenance where necessary while keeping facilities in serviceable condition.
• Reports major maintenance needs to Zone Maintenance supervisor for referral to shop crafts or other corrective actions.
• Performs on‑call duty and responds to after‑hours and weekend emergency callbacks.
• Repairs various fixtures, hardware, and facilities such as door locks, broken window panes, minor plumbing, minor electrical circuits, appliances, office equipment, faucets, valves, shower grouting, floor and ceiling tiles, and other necessary maintenance duties.
• Safely operates a service truck (pick‑up, mini truck, or gator) on a college campus.
• Communicates effectively with customers, clients, co‑workers, and supervision.
• Must be able to lift or move heavy objects up to 80 lbs and stand and work for up to 12 hours in different positions.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
• Must be able to interact and possess communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as clients, vendors, and sub‑contractors.
• Must attend safety meetings as required.

• Valid PA driver’s license.
• Three (3) years in building maintenance trades.
• Able and willing to work in inclement weather.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems and general carpentry.
• Full range of mobility outdoors, indoors, and in confining areas, including stairs, ramps, or ladders.
• Must comply with all applicable safety and local regulations, standards, and procedures.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
